Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD)

Advanced pavement products and systems

Falling Weight Deflectometer(FWD) is a testing device used by civil engineers to evaluate the physical properties of pavement. FWD data is primarily used to estimate pavement structural capacity for

1. Overlay design.
2. To determine if a pavement is being overloaded.
3. For assessment of residual life of the pavement.

It’s use include highways, local roads, airport and airfield pavements.
Ooms group has the latest version of Falling Weight Deflectometer. The machine is contained within a trailer that can be towed to a location by another vehicle. FWD is operated by a highly experienced engineer to generate systematic and meaningful data. The collected field data is interpreted to draw the conclusion and given to the client in the form of a report.
